Abandoned Dog That Refuses To Go Out Of His Dog House Now Lives A Happy And Comfortable Life With His New Owner In Oklahoma

Bo is a large and adorable Shepherd mix that was deserted by his owners. They all lived in Oklahoma, then one day, his family just moved away.

Their pet was left alone in his dog house, probably wondering what happened to the people that took care of him. For several months, he stayed there by himself.

Some of the neighbors would give him food and water, but no one took him in. Bo usually stayed inside his dog house and would refuse to come out, especially if there were people around. He was scared and confused, and the neighbors didn’t want to bother him any further.

Attacked

One night, a pack of coyotes wandered into the yard that Bo was staying in, and the wild animals attacked him. He was able to find refuge in his precious dog house, but he still got injured. One of the residents saw what happened and decided to call for help.

The concerned neighbor got in touch with a nonprofit organization called Street Dog Rescue. After hearing what happened, they sent a rescue team early the following day.

Because of his deeply embedded fear and his new injuries, Bo refused to interact with his rescuers. They offered him some food, but he would only snatch it and go back inside his dog house. After several hours, they finally got him in their vehicle.

A happy life

Bo was given treatment, not just for his wounds but also for the severe case of mange that he had developed. Because of his special needs, the large dog was needed to be placed in a foster home. There he continued his treatments.

While he was recovering, a woman named Patricia Williams, a seasoned rescuer from Moore, Oklahoma, kept tabs on his progress. When she saw that Bo was up for adoption, she quickly sent her application to the rescue organization.

Once she got the traumatized pooch, Patricia worked relentlessly every day to make Bo feel loved. It took six months before the abandoned dog felt that he was finally home. According to his kind new mom, all her efforts were worth it. Seeing the dog happy and confident made her glad as well.
