Dog In Thailand Is Honored After Saving The Life Of An Abandoned Newborn Baby

Most people prefer to own dogs because of their intelligence. These animals can easily pick up verbal and physical commands and some even learned to communicate using special tools.

Because of their intelligence, dogs are being used as part of search and rescue teams. In Thailand, a dog became a hero for saving the life of a newborn baby.

A dog named Pui was wandering the streets near his home when he came across something in a garbage pile. Pui’s senses must have detected it and happened to come across a baby wrapped in a plastic bag and thrown in the garbage. Nobody would’ve noticed the baby since it looked just like any piece of garbage. The baby didn’t move and also didn’t make any noise.

Thankfully, Pui found the plastic bag and decided to take it back home to his home. His owner, Gumnerd Thongmak, had no clue what was about to happen when Pui came back home.

After reaching his home, Pui started making an unusual amount of noise. He was barking and whimpering trying to catch Gumnerd’s attention. Gumnerd thought it was odd that Pui was making so much noise. She decided to investigate and found the bag on her patio where Pui left it. When Gumnerd opened the bag, she was horrified and shocked by what she discovered.

Gumnerd found a newborn baby girl that was seemingly lifeless. She called her mother for help and the two rushed the baby to the nearest hospital. The doctors determined that the baby was born prematurely. She barely weighed five pounds and was very sick and on the brink of death.

Thankfully, Pui found her and brought her back home. If it wasn’t for Pui, the baby wouldn’t have been discovered and would’ve likely died. Pui’s actions led him to become a local hero. He received a new leather collar as well as a medal for saving the baby girl.

Pui’s owners stated that they’re really proud of their dog. According to the police, the baby’s biological mother is suspected to be a teenage girl working at a nearby factory. Gumnerd stated that her family wants to adopt the child and give her the life she deserved. Here’s a video featuring Pui’s amazing story about how he became a hero by saving an abandoned baby’s life.
