It is no secret that getting your dog inside the bathtub has always been the trickiest part of being a dog owner. Thankfully, this isn’t the case for this fur mom whose mini Australian shepherd doesn’t mind getting washed at all. However, there is a catch: the pup will be willing to take a bath if and only if the water doesn’t reach his fluffy behind!
Ever since Michaela Koch brought home her pooch, Oaken, when he was just a small puppy, she had immediately noticed the pup’s peculiar behaviors during bathtime. You see, unlike some dogs, Oaken never threw a tantrum every time his fur mom would put him inside the bathtub to give him a good wash.
However, once the tub began filling up with water, Oaken would immediately scoot to the back and raise his hind feet on the wall. The first time that he did this, Michaela couldn’t help but laugh at the mini Australian shepherd’s odd response to the water.
But after seeing Oaken do the same hilarious movement every bath time, she eventually understood how the pooch disliked having his backside wet. He would always make sure to move his feet up the wall as Michaela scrubbed away on his body.
This also happened whenever the pup was inside his baby pool. He would always enjoy standing in the middle of the pool, splashing about and wading in the water. But never did he sit on the pool if he knew that his rear end would get wet.
Over time, Oaken mastered balancing with only his two front paws, much to the delight of his family. It always made Michaela giggle to see the pup scared of having his fluffy behind soaked in the water, but it was only recently when the fur mom got the chance to snap a photo of Oaken’s amusing bathtime routine.
After sharing the picture on Facebook, she was stunned to see that it went hilariously viral, earning 11,000 reactions and over 200 shares. Look at the adorable Oaken here.
