Veterinary care can be quite expensive. Health insurance for pets is either expensive or they’re simply non-existent.
Like any creature, dogs can also get sick, which requires professional veterinary care. Because of how expensive veterinary care can get, especially when the treatment involves surgery, many dog owners often tend to choose the easy way out by opting for euthanasia. It’s sad that this often happens since many of these dogs can still have such amazing life and still offer plenty of love to their families.
A Siberian Husky named Juneau was neglected by her family. Rescuers were contacted and were informed that Juneau was experiencing repeating occurrences where her lungs kept collapsing. Instead of opting for surgery, Juneau’s family decided not to do anything at all. Juneau’s life was miserable and she was suffering from her condition that she became skinny and depressed.
Thankfully, a rescuer reached out to Juneau’s family and convinced the family to surrender Juneau so she could have the life-saving surgery that she needed. Juneau’s rescuer knew that Juneau still has so much life and love in her to give a deserving family. Despite being sick, Juneau was still quite sweet and everyone who met her instantly fell in love with her.
After Juneau got her surgery, she moved to her foster home. Her new foster mom, Mo, introduced Juneau to her foster doggie siblings and Mo also gave her the loving care she needed to recover. When Mo needed to get out of town, Juneau had amazing dog sitters who looked after her.
Eventually, Juneau’s sweet personality won over her sitters. Juneau’s sitters, Kristin and Jonny, decided that they couldn’t imagine what their life would be like without Juneau. So, Kristin and Jonny figured that they can never settle on being just sitters for Juneau. They contacted Mo and informed her that they wanted to adopt Juneau.
Kristin and Jonny officially welcomed Juneau into their home and even brought her new toys to play with and plenty of treats to enjoy. Juneau made a full recovery and is now a happy and healthy dog thanks to the people who rescued her and the amazing people who adopted her and gave Juneau a loving forever home.
