Some dogs are hard to be cared for because of their health conditions. However, that doesn’t stop good people from bringing them home and giving them normal lives. No matter how severe a dog’s health condition may be, there will be someone out there who is willing to give them what they deserve.
When Sarah was found as a stray, she was terrified of humans. She was sick, starving, and had trouble walking. The rescuer who found her had a lot of experience with fostering dogs, but she still was not prepared for the effort it took to care for Sarah.
It took a few weeks before Sarah felt more comfortable at the animal shelter. When she finally stood up, her rescuers noticed something wrong with her. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis. In other words, she had brain damage that prevented her from walking upright.
Fortunately, under the right care, Sarah was able to flourish. She started enjoying the company of people. But what positively affected her the most was the other dogs she met while under foster care.
Sarah’s new friends understand that she needs extra care. That’s why they are very patient with her when playing. This tolerance level is also displayed by the grumpy cat owned by Sarah’s foster parent. The cat doesn’t like Sarah, but they can coexist in the same home without getting into fights.
Sarah’s determination is her strongest asset. It allowed her to get through the weeks of physical therapy and months of medical treatment. Her foster owner likes to describe her as having an unshakeable joy.
Anyone looking at Sarah for the first time will notice a happy dancing dog. The way she moves and exerts herself befits her personality. Her foster parent loves everything about her and sees her as an inspiration.
