A young dog named Zeke has not had an easy life. Despite that, he cannot help but smile.
This dog’s unique and crooked grin has helped him win the hearts of people, including the staff at The NOAH Center, an animal protection organization in Stanwood, Washington.
According to Katrina Wedin, a dog care coordinator, Zeke is people-oriented — he loves getting attention from and interacting with people.
Wedin said that Zeke has a big fan club at the shelter, including volunteers and staff. This charming pooch wants to be with people as much as possible. Despite his large size, he believes he is a lap dog.
Zeke was only around seven months old when he first arrived at the shelter. According to a vet, the dog’s twisted face was because of a birth condition; however, the snaggletooth does not bother Zeke.
Zeke has to undergo some corrective surgeries, but otherwise, it does not affect his everyday life.
After some months of staying in the shelter, this friendly pooch got adopted. However, when the family encountered some financial difficulties, Zeke ended up being in the shelter again. And now, he’s looking for a forever home, and the staff is hoping his crooked smile will touch someone’s heart.
Wedin said that Zeke is a dorky gentleman and has a face to make anyone fall in love with him.
Thus far, only a few people have shown interest in Zeke. And that was because he will most likely undergo some more surgeries in the future. Despite all these, this loving and sweet dog is hoping the perfect adopter for him will come along and take care of him and love him.
Zeke has a lovely and goofy personality. He only wants to experience love and be with his forever person.
And while Zeke waits, he is just happy to run and play around and snuggle with his caregivers as he continues to show them his crooked but sweet smile.
