Dog That Had Legs Amputated Gets A Chance To Run And Play Again After He Gets Fitted With Prosthetics

Dogs are naturally playful animals. When they get bored, they do things that we consider naughty, such as digging holes in the yard or chewing on shoes. Most people would usually punish their dogs by associating uncomfortable feelings with the naughty things they do, such as getting sprayed water on their faces or telling them off in a stern voice.

Unfortunately for a dog named Cola, he was caught chewing on his owner’s neighbor’s shoes. As a consequence, the neighbor brutally punished Cola by slashing his front legs with a sword. As a result, Cola was severely injured and both of his front legs were amputated.

Despite Cola’s owner offering his neighbor payment for the damages to the shoes, he still brutally punished Cola. A local animal rescue organization called the Soi Dog Foundation was informed about the attack on Cola and immediately took action by taking him to the veterinary clinic.

The rescue organization even covered the veterinary expenses to treat Cola. The veterinarians that treated Cola couldn’t save his legs and Cola was destined to live his life as an amputee. It seemed like Cola would never be able to run and play anymore.

Cola was also surrendered by his owner to the rescue team. Aside from having his legs brutally amputated, he also found himself homeless and without a family to take care of him. It seemed like Cola was going to end up living in an animal shelter.

Thankfully, after Cola’s injuries fully healed, the team at the veterinary clinic started work to fit Cola with custom-made prosthetic legs. The man who attacked Cola was also charged and sentenced to one month in prison. The co-founder of Soi Dog Foundation, Gill Dalley also welcomed Cola into her home.

Now, Cola is leaving his troubled past behind and he’s finally living a happy life with his new family. Cola is now spoiled by his new family and gets tons of belly rubs, playtime at the beach, and also plenty of cuddles with his new family.

Thanks to Soi Dog Foundation, Cola was given another chance to run and play again. His new forever home truly loves him and makes sure that he will never have to experience pain and suffering again. Here’s a heartwarming video featuring Cola’s story and how he was given another chance to be happy.
