Most dog owners know that putting clothes on their pets can be a frustrating experience. They squirm and jump, trying to avoid wearing any clothing. But one dog has shown that being fashionable can be fun. And it’s not just about being stylish with him – it’s for his comfort too.
A Cold Dog
When Twitter user @heyitslilyyy rescued her dog, Pluto, she noticed something wrong with him. The tiny dog seemed to be constantly shivering. Not sure why he was doing that, she decided to bring him to a vet.
The vet checked on the dog and found nothing wrong with him. So he said that maybe it was just anxiety being in a new home. This was plausible as dogs tend to be cautious about strange surroundings. But Lily had a different idea.
She thought that maybe because her dog was so small, she was probably cold. To see if she was right, she bought a jacket for her new pup. Amazingly, her assumption was correct. Pluto stopped shaking.
A closet full of clothes
From then on, Pluto has started wearing clothes. The dog felt more comfortable in them, and he would always wear one. As time passed, he amassed a collection of shirts and jackets along with some accessories. As his collection grew, Lily found it difficult to keep track and organize her dog’s clothes.
When her dad learned about her problem, he came up with a solution. For two days, he worked in his garage and built a custom closet for Pluto. Lily was delighted. And apparently, so was her pup.
After Lily arranged all his clothes, putting them in small hangers, Pluto wasted no time checking them out. He even picked out his outfit for the day.
Thankfully, the closet was big enough to fit all his clothes with some space left for new purchases. But his wardrobe will likely keep on growing. That won’t be a problem, though, with grandpa around, he can expect to have more spaces for them.
